Sandra Jovanović discovers
her actual asylum in the symbol
of the mountain as a primary
cosmological image of spirit,
inteligence, hidden secrets as
well as causality. ( Let us now
remind ourselves on the
mountain, with its deep silence
governing, we ascend to reach
the life above, together with
immortality conquerring our own
being ). This artist paints
oniric, archetypical areas, of
exceptionaly complexed register
of lights and shadows. On those
areas she explores the mystical
constelation between landscapes,
magical human appearance as well
as time. The man, on Sandra`s
paintings, is a dark traveller
throughout the worlds, through
the dreamy and foggy lyricism of
erotic fever. Melancholy, which
is spiritual, lights up these
paintings with such joy, as they
are built on the mysterious laws
of esoteric symbolism. On
Sandra`s paintings there is also
some vaque memory of
psychological style of the
sixties. On these canvases, on
which deep ultramarine dominates
together with bishop-purple,
sunny-ocher and reddish skies of
lust, some mysterious,
metaphysical fluid reverents it
all. An observer of the
sensitive spiritual and also one
of the religious structure,
imperceptibly gets drawn into
depths of Sandra`s mystical
